The 100 Club of Chicago provides for the families of first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty. This membership based organization offers several forms of financial assistance, access to resources and moral support. All sworn federal, state, county and local first responders stationed in Cook and Lake Counties are included. The items granted by The Service Club of Chicago to our nonprofit have been instrumental in getting the word out about the work we are doing to serve the families of first responders who were tragically killed in the line of duty. All of our granted items were technology related which gave our group the accessibility and mobility needed to bring our resources to the public and share outreach on a mass scale. We bring the laptop, (tablets) and hotspot out to almost every event. The grant process was streamlined and allowed us to share our story with a new group of wonderful contacts. We enjoyed meeting the members of the Service Club during our interview and had a great connecting session with likeminded individuals at the awards reception.
