And famed restaurant Gene & Georgetti opened its doors. Nestled under the El tracks\, the steakhouse\, opened by Gene Michelotti and his partner Alfredo “Georgetti” Federighi\, seeps of history through every inch of the building: from the walls on the first floor lined with famous faces that have stopped by through the years to the storied mural painted on the second floor. \nChicago historian Scottie Perry will set the tone for the day\, expanding upon Chicago’s rich history in the ’40’s. She will then hand the mic over to Michelle Dupretti\, nationally recognized event planner\, entrepreneur and third generational owner. Michelle will further the telling of Chicago stories as observed through the lens of Chicago’s oldest steakhouse. \nWith Frank Sinatra crooning\, guests will enjoy passed lite bites\, wine and a delicious luncheon prepared by Executive Chef Cristiano Bassani. \nThis unique presentation is just the first of the 2023 Education Committee’s Food For Thought Luncheon Series where we explore Chicago history by diving deep into its iconic institutions. \nBuy Tickets \nTuesday\, June 13th\n12:00 pm – 2:00 pm\nGene & Georgetti Steakhouse\n500 North Franklin Street\nThree course luncheon served with wine and bubbles \nPrime Sponsorship tables – 2 available – $1\,800 per table: includes one prime table for you and 5 guests plus a featured event speaker seated at your table\, recognition in all printed material\, six raffle tickets\, and a chilled bottle of champagne at your table. \nChoice Tables – 2 available – $1\,200 per table: includes one preferred table for 5\, listing on invitation\, recognition in all printed material\, and six raffle tickets. \nHost Committee – $500 – includes 2 tickets and recognition on all printed materials\nIndividual ticket – $200 \nRaffle tickets: 1 for $25\, 3 for $50\, 6 for $75\, 10 for $100 \nRaffle Prizes:\n\nRaffle item #1 – Italian wine and food basket – FMV $400.00\nRaffle item #2 – PRP Wine International Wine Sampling Experience for 12 people- FMV$300\nRaffle item #3 – One bottle Chateau Pontet-Canet wine – FMV $180\nRaffle item #4 – One bottle Chateau Pichon Longueville 2003 – FMV $200\nRaffle item #5 – One bottle Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou 1999 – FMV $200
